slides and giant wave pool. And Florida Aquarium, one of the best in the state, is also in Tampa. Aquariums, wildlife and bird sanctuaries
feature heavily on Florida’s list of family attractions. And, you could be forgiven for thinking you
were in Asia or Africa when you see the exotic animals in zoos from Pensacola to Jacksonville, and from Naples to Palm Beach. No two are the same and all of them offer
lots of extra attractions. Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens
at Sanford has 400 animals, an adventure park and Segway tours. Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo boasts 1,500 animals, an aviary and manatee centre. There is no shortage of museums in Florida
either — around 350 with cultural, historic and scientifi c exhibits. So, wherever you are staying in Florida, you can
be sure that there will be at least one theme park and several attractions on your horizon.
