OUR PROJECTS


Kent Pedersen


Kent leads the WSP Environmental & Energy business across the MENA Region and India. Working for both the public and private sectors, he has been closely involved in a number of major infrastructure and industrial projects over the last 25 years, including within the power and water sector. Kent has, throughout his career, been the project director on a number of high profile projects and has an excellent working knowledge of the local and international regulatory and guidance requirements of such projects.


Enda Colfer Enda is the Operations Director for WSP Environment & Energy in the Middle East; he has been with WSP for 10 years, 5 of which were in London before he relocated to Dubai. Enda’s experience has seen him involved in environmental impact assessments, environmental auditing and due diligence and waste management across Europe, America and the Middle


With a strong focus on power and water projects in the Middle East region, WSP has developed and retained a team of environmental planning specialists who are highly experienced and capable in this sector. As well as accurately assessing the impacts, we are confident that our team will be able to add value to the planning, design, construction and operation of your project. We offer international experience, an in depth knowledge of the Middle East.


East. During his time in the region, Enda has undertaken projects such as the Social Environmental Assessment of Shuqaiq IWPP in Saudi Arabia, the Environmental Review of Al Hidd Power Station in Bahrain, and the Environmental Due Diligence of seven power stations in Jordan. Prior to WSP, Enda worked at the European Commission in Brussels.


Simon Pickup


Simon heads the Planning and Ecosystem Protection Group of WSP Environment & Energy in the MENA region. Simon has over ten years of environmental planning experience. Since joining the Middle East team, he has delivered environmental assessments for large scale power, infrastructure and industrial projects, including the Shoaibah III Power Station on behalf of the Saudi Electricity Company. He has a wide ranging global experience relating to environmental assessments to secure both national planning approvals and lender sign-off.


Matthew Steadman Jones


Matthew is a project director for WSP Environment & Energy with responsibility for the delivery of multidisciplinary projects. Matthew has worked in the environmental sector for over twelve years, both as a policy adviser for governmental environmental regulators, and as an environmental specialist for consultancies based in the Middle East. He has a wealth of experience in assisting developers of large scale infrastructure and industrial projects throughout the region to meet their local and international environmental and social commitments.
