Trading conditions in December The majority of retailers who responded to Footwear Today’s Best Sellers indicator reported an increase in trade in December 2011 over the same month in 2010, which most attributed to an early start to the winter sales.
“Due to the mild weather, trading in run up to Christmas was very challenging with low footfall. Also it is known that we have a genuine Sale after Christmas, so people hold back.
