Heat Pump Rebate Changes


EFFECTIVE: JANUARY 1 to OCTOBER 31, 2012


PEC pays rebates for the installation of electric heat pumps--air-source or geothermal/ground-source. Before contracting to install or upgrade your HVAC unit, contact PEC’s Customer Service Representatives at 1-877- 456-3031 or (580) 332-3031 from the local Ada calling area. Make sure your installation qualifies for PEC’s rebate program. Rebate requests must be made within the applicable timeframes. 0122500303


Co-Funded Geothermal Heat Pump Rebate – with Desuperheater, $525 per ton rebate


(optional feature which provides hot water for your home as a by-product of your heating/cooling system; DeSuperheaters must be connected to a tank ≥ 40 gallons and must serve as the primary source of hot water for the home) – without Desuperheater, $250 per ton rebate ton Minimum Specifications: • Closed Loop > 16.1 EER & 3.3 COP • Open Loop > 18.2 EER & 3.6 COP • 5 year warranty • Member agrees to participate in PEC’s load management program and assign ownership of the resulting environmental and renewable benefits for their heat pump to Western Farmers Electric Cooperative (WFEC), PEC’s power provider and co-sponsor of the expanded program


Geothermal Installation Date:


January 1, 2012, to March 31, 2012 May 31, 2012 April 1, 2012, to June 30, 2012 July 1, 2012, to October 31, 2012


Applications must be submitted to PEC by: August 31, 2012


October 31, 2012—(Co-Funded applications will no longer be accepted after this date)


INSTALLING AN AIR-SOURCE HEAT PUMP? Your heat pump system(s) should still qualify for PEC’s Standard Rebate payment of $100 per ton, provided the standard requirements are met.

STEPS TO FOLLOW IF YOUR


ELECTRICITY GOES OFF 1. Check your fuse or breaker box. 2. Check with your neighbors. Are they off? Have they reported the outage?


3. Call our 24 hour Outage Reporting System at toll-free 1-877-272-1500 or (580) 272-1500 (local Ada area).


4. Always report outages promptly! Remember, the cooperative's responsibility ends at the meter. If a service call is made and the trouble is found on the consumer's side, a $50.00 service charge will be assessed.


5. For faster service, please make sure we have the correct phone number(s) for your account on fi le. Your phone number will be used to access your account information.

Congratulations to PEC Member Susie Reinauer of Stonewall (pictured at far left) who won PEC’s Christmas Appliance drawing on December 9, 2011. Ms. Reinauer chose the washer/dryer combo from her choice of selected ENERGY STAR rated appliances at Ada’s Sears store, also a PEC consumer. Ms. Reinauer took advantage of PEC’s Sure B.E.T. program in May 2011 to be entered to win the drawing.
