WEEk AT A GLAnCE Course Curriculum
The coursework at Institute is taught by instructors from various backgrounds, including executives of associations, chambers of commerce, and nonprofits; industry consultants; lawyers and CPAs; and university faculty. Their in-depth instruction combines practical and academic experience and is designed to help participants implement cutting-edge ideas and best practices into their organizations.
From membership recruitment and retention to legal issues, to budgeting, marketing, and advocacy, Institute offers education on all facets of running a nonprofit organization. Additionally, Institute’s curriculum is aligned with the knowledge requirements for CAE and CCE nonprofit industry certifications, enabling you to achieve all of your professional goals easily. Participants that complete the four-year program can earn up to 96 credit hours toward their CAE certification or 28 points toward their CCE certification.
Graduates of the four-year program receive the IOM recognition. Known nationwide as the standard for association and chamber training, the IOM recognition acknowledges the recipient’s completion of the program, commitment to the industry, and exposure to the fundamental issues of nonprofit organization management. Graduates use the letters “IOM” after their names in public mention, as well as in professional correspondence.
