In “Now & Next” we set out our additional objectives, most of which we achieved or succeeded in advancing and we are quietly pleased at the progress realised. These objectives largely carry through into this plan, together with some new initiatives.


We are very grateful for the support of the statutory agencies and for their continued financial backing. We also greatly value those voluntary


bodies with whom we co-operate – whether as partner agencies or just in mutual support.


Just as in 2007, while we knew what we hoped to do, we did not anticipate some of the difficulties. In 2011 we have ambitions and plans but perhaps cannot see clearly the difficulties that may lie ahead. However we remain optimistic and focused on our role.
