INTRODUCTION
DEVELOPMENT OF THIS PLAN
OF THIS PLAN The Strategic Plan 2012-2014 was

formulated from several vital inputs. The starting point was to review what was achieved since the last
strategic plan; what was not achieved; and what was learnt in the process. The views of all stakeholders were sought. Consideration was given to
the difficult economic and legislative environment and the challenging social factors associated with
working with those marginalised in society. This plan reflects these numerous contributions and considerations, which have been
deliberated on and integrated into strategic objectives and goals.
Consultation A broad range of stakeholders was consulted, including funders; partner organisations; sector organisations and interest groups; academics; politicians; and international experts. Consultations were conducted by one-to-one interviews over the phone or by internet surveys. The internet was selected specifically as it is a cost effective, accessible and confidential means of collecting views. Through a survey link posted on Ana Liffey’s Facebook page and notified through Twitter, LinkedIn and Google,
