Dear Sheetz, I am a 63-year-old woman on disabil- ity with multiple, fairly severe health problems. At about 5 a.m. one morning in December I was on my way home from work but seriously needed gas. I stopped at your store on 17th street in Altoona (Store #354) and bought a gas card. It was frigid cold, snowing and blowing. As I was leaving the store, I told the young man at the register that I dreaded having to go out and pump gas! When I reached my car, I realized he had followed me out and told me to get in my car. He would pump it! What a nice thing to do! He had no way of knowing I was in severe pain. He just did a nice thing for an old lady. Thank you for hiring such nice people! Sincerely, Linda Johnston Altoona, PA
Dear Sheetz, My wife and I were on our way to a wedding in Virginia when the oil light came on in our vehicle. I pulled into Sheetz and asked an employee, Casey, where I might find a garage. He took a look at the problem and advised against driving anywhere due to the severity of the leak. The oil filter had a hole in it. He then offered to fix the leak himself and offered his vehicle for my use to go
in search of a replacement oil filter. I happened to have an extra oil filter on hand and Casey proceeded to crawl under the vehicle and fix the problem. Then he provided advice on how to clean up the side of the vehicle where oil had sprayed from our drive. We were very grateful for Casey’s assistance. His actions averted what could have been an expensive and time-consuming ordeal. He’s a true good samaritan. Sincerely, William Wellman State College, PA
Dear Sheetz, Are you aware of how much locals and visitors love the Oakland, MD, Sheetz store (Store #147)? I recently rejoined the work force and Sheetz is my morning coffee fix. I have been so impressed with how this business is run. They do a booming morning business and I can understand why: always fresh coffee, smiling staff who greet you, fast service where you seldom wait in line. The store is also very clean, bathrooms included. Just wanted you to know what a great team of people you have working there. Sincerely, Sherri Snyder
