Kitchen Receives Superior Rating
Congratulations to the employees at Sheetz Bros. Kitchen for acing an unannounced AIB inspection! (AIB is an agency that specializes in food safety services.) We received a “superior” rating, the highest rating possible! Our last two inspec- tions scored “excellent,” and in this case superior is better than excellent. AIB inspects five areas of our operation as it relates to food safety: Opera-
tional Methods and Personnel Practices, Maintenance for Food Safety, Cleaning Practices, Integrated Pest Management and Written Food Safety Programs. Thanks for everyone’s efforts in keeping our facility clean and following

food safety practices. Also thanks to the Maintenance department for making equipment improvements since our last audit. It’s great to know that our customers can depend on us to produce safe, quality products for them every day!
Sheetz Customers Feel the Love
Every year we thank our valued customers for their business, and at the same time, give them the pick-me-up they need to stay alert while traveling to and from their holiday events. In 2010, customers again made Sheetz part of their holiday tradition, enjoying 320,000 cups of free coffee on Christmas day and 209,000 cups on New Year’s day!
Pie Trowing for Charity
Employees at Store #337, Meadville, PA, helped raise money for Sheetz Family Charities with a whipped cream pie throwing contest. Employees donated money for each pie. Store Manager Georgette Acker was a good sport, receiving pie after pie in the face from her employees. Even when it was all done, employees still made use of the whipped cream by squirting it everywhere and on everyone! It was a lot of fun and they raised more than $50 for the charity.
