ou don’t have to look far for indoor attractions in
Great Yarmouth.
If you’re feeling energetic aim for some strikes at one of our two ten-pin bowling alleys or sink a few putts at the indoor crazy golf facility. You can get your skates on and enjoy a roller rink disco or cool off with a dip in the tropical pool at the Marina Centre.
You’ll find children’s indoor activity centres with ball pools and soft play areas in Great Yarmouth, Hemsby and Gorleston-on-Sea. Animal lovers will adore the penguins, sharks and seahorses at the Sea Life Centre, and find fascinating creatures like spiders and snakes in the Living Jungle at Amazonia.
Great Yarmouth has six museums delving into the fascinating history of our maritime borough - from the Nelson Museum, which focuses on the life of one of Norfolk’s most famous sons, to the 12th century Tolhouse, one of Britain’s oldest prisons. You can also investigate former homes of wealthy merchants, a restored herring smoke house and a steam drifter.
If you’d like to try your hand at pottery head for the Great Yarmouth Potteries and Smoke House, where you’ll hear tales of local lore from artist Ernie Childs. Don’t miss a visit to Great Yarmouth Minster, or Yesterday’s World, where olde worlde shops, a railway station and even an indoor carousel are among the attractions.
