Take a walk on the wild side and see the leopards, monkeys and tigers at Thrigby Wildlife Gardens, or get close to some smaller, tamer creatures at Pettitts. There are outdoor playgrounds, boats and beautiful views to be enjoyed at Fritton Lake and the Waterside, or you could hire a day boat at Martham or St Olaves to cruise the Norfolk Broads. Rowing boats and special Wheelyboats for wheelchair users are also available on the Trinity Broads at Rollesby and Ormesby and at Fritton.

On the seafront, Merrivale Model Village has stunning landscaped gardens with model railways and fairytale castles, or for something to get the pulse racing, enjoy fast-paced action at the Pleasure Beach or Joyland. At Burgh Castle you can take a dip in a heated outdoor pool, enjoy a riverside stroll and explore the amazingly preserved Roman ruins with their stunning views over Berney Marshes.
We’ve golf galore from Hemsby to Gorleston- on-Sea, with lots of pitch and putt and crazy golf courses, including brilliantly themed safari, pirate and lost world adventure attractions. The borough also boasts three 18-hole courses and a 9-hole course with a floodlit driving range, top-quality horse racing, greyhound racing and stock cars, with great family facilities.
