The 36 tonne EC360B, 21 tonne EC210C and 16 tonne EC160C’s join a mixed fleet of eighty excavators ranging from 1.5 to 87 tonnes and were converted for demolition duties by Volvo prior to delivery. Specifically they have benefitted by the addition of full FOGS guarding for the cab and heavy duty guarding of the bucket cylinders. In addition, the fact that the machines were already fitted with the hydraulic circuitry needed for hammer / shear application as standard was another plus point in opting for Volvo.

All four machines were supplied through Volvo’s used equipment Department at Duxford and underwent some refurbishment and the required modifications before being delivered to Squibb Group. “We work with our customers to provide a machine suited to their requirements whether it is a basic service and inspection up to a fully refurbished machine covered by our approved used programme” commented Volvo’s Used Equipment Manager Mark Rhead.

With its headquarters based at Barking, Essex and associated waste re- cycling / transfer station facilities located at Stanford Le Hope, Squibb Group undertakes all manners of demolition & abatement contracts nationally. This includes demolition, dismantling, remediation, asbestos removal, asset recovery and decommissioning works. The company founded in 1948 continues to be owned and managed by the Squibb family.
