Hire Update

The Executive Hire Show 2012 Main Hall Sold Out! The 6th Annual Executive Hire Show takes place on the 8th and 9th February 2012, at its established home at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry. The show, which has become the number one destination for hire professionals, has already sold out of stand space in the main hall! At last week’s show Kick-Off meeting, which was attended by 70 loyal exhibitors, hirers and guests, the EHS team announced its plans for a ‘Top Tier’ extension of the event, in the hall above the existing exhibition, especially for ‘light equipment’. The 2011 Executive Hire Show was a record year; with a total of 1843

visitors and of those, 89% of the event’s attendees were independent hirers. Extensive research was carried out post show, and having analysed visitor and customer feedback, the message from the industry was clear - the show should continue to grow. With the forthcoming 2012 show having sold out in record time, with 106 confirmed exhibitors on board, plans needed to be put in place to meet industry demand. The ‘Top Tier’ is now open for space reservation and can accommodate 44

stands between the sizes of four to 18m; however, there is the potential to merge stands to make larger stands, should demand dictate. The main exhibition hall will once again be home to the leading brands, that

visitors to the show most wanted to see (results taken from EHS research), including Wacker Neuson, Hilti, Makita, Volvo and Husqvarna. JCB will also be back, showing the very latest products from its range. Yvette Henshall-Bell, JCB’s UK & Ireland sales director said, “Having established itself as the benchmark exhibition for the hire industry, The Executive Hire Show represents and ideal opportunity for JCB to show case its compact equipment ranges. The Show has earned its place in our exhibition calendar and dovetails with the Hillhead quarry event for our large earthmoving and materials handling plant.”

Going For Green With ArcGen Hilta’s

EcoWeld ArcGen Hilta’s Ecoweld machine continues to set the standard in welding. Carl Bradley, from CPB Mobile Welding & Fabrications Ltd, based in

Wolverhampton, has recently purchased a new EcoWeld to support his business. “I needed a welder that would allow me to meet the demands of my workload

and also the increasingly varied needs of my clients. I wanted a machine that would weld in MIG, TIG and MMA and I also required a mobile welder capable of working with a wide range of materials on site.” “One of the key features that attracted me to the Ecoweld was the constant

current / constant voltage feature that enables me carry out different types of welding according to the job. I am now able to offer my clients more services, without the need for an additional machine to get the job done faster.” Launched in 2010, the ArcGen Ecoweld is one of the most environmentally

friendly welders available in Europe due to its super silent operation and fuel efficiency, with up to 15 hours constant uninterrupted operation before refueling is required. Tom Page, Business Development Manager – Welding of ArcGen Hilta said

“We work with our customers closely to ensure that they have the correct solutions for their working requirements, which can often lead to bespoke features being added allowing the user complete control and providing a machine suited to the needs of their business.” Other features which make the EcoWeld one of the most innovative machines

in the ArcGen welding range include, the digital setting gauges and current readouts for amperage control, providing monitoring when needed for precision welding; 3-phase auxiliary output to allow welding and other plant to be used simultaneously whilst welding, and its unique automatic engine start / stop feature providing unrivalled fuel consumption and cost savings.

Join The Elite In Oxy-Fuel Cutting And

Heating A winning combination of high strength materials a durable design, quick and efficient nozzle changes along with greater operator control are just some of the key benefits of the new Saffire Elite cutter from Murex Welding Products. Its introduction underlines the company’s ability to offer the market a technically advanced product that puts reliability and operator comfort first in oxy-fuel cutting and heating applications. Suitable for oxygen/acetylene and oxygen/propane cutting, the Saffire Elite

Cutter has performance enhancing technical features including a drop forged brass cutting body for superior strength compared with standard brass bar produced products. Precision machined seats ensure a perfect fit between the cutter and nozzle

and there is also an increased surface area for superior heat dispersion during the cutting process. Hard silver soldered joints provide resistance to high working temperatures. The triangulated stainless steel seamless tubes are manufactured from Grade

304 steel to reduce the heat transfer to the operator and to increase the torch’s durability. The twin O ring system gives greater control of the cutting stream whilst the

positive cutting oxygen valve, with progressive bleed, ensures smooth starts. The Saffire Elite has an ergonomic and extremely well balanced design with

increased comfort and grip for both left and right-handed operators. The large collar is very strong and the handle assembly is produced from extruded aluminium grade 6061. This ensures giving greater durability and strength. The stainless steel 304 grade trim valves, which adjust the gas flow, are large and easy to grip when wearing leather gauntlets. Environmentally Clean Washing One Stop Hire, the North West based independent hirer of power tools, access systems and small plant, has taken delivery of their first Wash Rack, the environmentally sound plant cleaning system. The Wash Rack has been developed by the Italian manufacturer, DF Ecology

and is distributed in the UK by, Milton Keynes based, TowerLight UK Limited. It was formally launched in the UK at the Executive Hire Show in February 2011. The Wash Rack is a self contained washing system designed to thoroughly clean

a line of plant and machinery whilst protecting the wider environment from contaminates commonly found on construction equipment. It is swiftly installed on site or in a depot. The Wash Rack features a sturdy low angle approach ramp which allows even

low profile equipment being safely located onto the wash pad. The wash pad has a diamond patterned tread, with grit impregnated surface for to ensure excellent traction, with no undulations or any other trip or slip hazards. The Wash Rack operates from recycled water and therefore alleviates the need to apply for a discharge licence. To aid the safe disposal of environmentally

risky material, the Wash Rack is fitted with a series of separation tanks that securely isolates diesel, petrol, oils, grease and other chemicals, making these hazardous contaminates ready for proper disposal.
