Hybrid Process Cooling System

EMSCO, Inc.’s Hyprcool hybrid process cooling system utilizes an adiabatic wet- ted cooling tower for water system heat rejection. Te hybrid process combines the advantages of dry air cooling towers in the winter months and the advantages of fluid coolers in the summer months to provide highly effective heat rejection for foundry water system requirements. Te hybrid process utilizes a fine mist spray into the air prior to contacting the copper cooling tubes which lowers air temperature and increases the heat rejec- tion level of the unit. Te control system cycles individual fans as process water and ambient temperatures dictate, and it ultimately activates the water spray mist

when warranted. —EMSCO , Inc. 877-77-EMSCO • Fax: 330-833-3029 www.emsco.com

44 | MODERN CASTING October 2011 Energy Efficient, High Temp Crucible
