klahoma’s drought is getting worse, and as the seasons begin to change, the absence of rain is cause for worry. Little precipitation this winter combined with one of the hottest and driest summers on record has left ranchers scrambling for hay to feed their cattle. However, with the help of a simple Face- book page, internet-savvy cattlemen now have more access to valuable hay bales.
Brothers Clint and Casey Round created The Hay Con- nection Facebook page in mid-August when they noticed many ranchers were logging on to the Internet to fi nd hay.
“On Facebook, I saw where people would post ‘Does anybody have any hay for sale?’” Clint said. “A little light came on, and I thought, ‘How can I get these people in touch with each other?’”
