Saint Lawrence increases UK focus

to promote the region and has added six of the nine ports just in the past five years. A total of C$156million will be spent across all nine ports over the 2008-13 five-year plan. The nine Saint Lawrence ports - from Montréal to Iles de la Madeleine - welcomed 165,000 cruise passengers in 2010 with a similar number expected this year according to René Trépanier, executive director of Cruise The Saint Lawrence. “In 2012 we’re expecting big growth to somewhere between 225,00 and 250,000 people. “Cruise lines are using more of the nine ports.
