New terminal for Durban

cruise terminal in Durban, South Africa are under way, revealing a superior new development with a combined capacity of 5,000 passengers. The new 35,000 square-metre cruise terminal is due to be completed by the end of June 2015 and is intended be able to cater for at least two large vessels, with a 700m quay and 10.5 metre berth. Unlike the current terminal, the new


cruise terminal will be separate from the cargo operational area, with the intention of easing congestion. The terminal will also be situated closer to hospitality developments and tourist attractions such as uShaka Marine World. It's a multipurpose facility that aims to incorporate the whole area of Durban and Durban tourism. www.durban.kzn.org.za
