Selling Cruising has its own free on-line training programme on the Travel Uni website (www. traveluni.com), that’s split into four easy-to-work-through modules that will transform beginners into cruise experts.

The programme starts by looking at the basics such as ship layouts and accommodation, then moves on to look at the different types of cruises clients can take and destinations they can visit.

The third module has useful sales tips, highlighting everything from the fact there is a cruise for everyone from families to solo travellers to clients who don’t want to fly (suggest an ex-UK cruise) to the benefits of fly-cruises.

The fourth and last module advises agents where they can get further information, for instance through ship visits.

There is a 20-question multiple- choice exam at the end of each module; agents must score a 70% pass mark to move on.
