Arizona Short Course Racing, Round 6 September 10, 2011

Annual Speedworld 9/11 Bash to remember the tragedy that our nation suffered 10 years ago will be held when the Arizona Short Course Series returns on September 10, 2011. On this anniversary we will remember those who lost their lives at the hands of others who dislike our freedom. This month we will all remember those vivid telecasts that aired that morning. I know I still remember that morning watching the thick black smoke bellowing from the first tower, only minutes later watching a commercial jet being flown into the second tower. Since that day there have been young men and women who have gone to fight for your freedom who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Speedworld is proud to announce that we are working with Operation Homefront of Arizona for the second year in a row on this event. In doing so, a portion of the event’s proceeds will be donated to Operation Homefront of AZ. OHAZ is a nonprofit group which aides the Arizona families of our service members and wounded warriors. The ASCC will be starting the day off with round 6. Short course racing has only been around in Arizona for a few years but it has progressed into one of the biggest racing scenes in the state. With only two more races after this, the points are getting closer and stakes are higher. With that said round 6 should be a race to watch. Those points’ leaders will be racing to stay in the lead and 2nd 3rd

and

places will be trying to move up. Come out to support your favorite team. There should be plenty of dirt slinging action to keep you on the edge of your seat. There will be plenty of action with racers sliding around the turns, flying over the jumps, and lots of wheel bumping action through the moguls. Hope to see you out there on the 10th

.

Also to help with the 9/11 action Speedworld will have motocross practice, freestyle mx, mud bogs, sand drags, car show, and drag racing. Around midnight there will be a side-by-side jet car race. For more information check out our
