earl Lowe’s stylish flair has been the source of her fame since she put down her microphone at the end of the
nineties. Shifting focus from her singing career to fashion, Pearl went on to be the face of Agent Provocateur, to design handmade dresses for sale in Liberty’s of London and to create the Pearl Lowe range of lace curtains and cushions. Perfectly combining her eye for interiors with her own love of all things vintage, this was the realisation of a dream for Pearl so it may surprise you to know that she’s only recently been able to fulfill her own decorating ambitions.
Pearl invited Melanie Adams, wallpaper expert from wallpaperdirect, and designer Jeff Banks to her home to advise on choosing wallpaper for her hall, stairs and landing.
“I’ve always wanted to use wallpaper in my house,” begins Pearl, “but for the past several years I haven’t had the right space for it. I’ve been living in rented homes or short-term houses while I’ve been on tour and moving around, so it wasn’t until we found this house last Christmas that I finally had the right project. Before that, I was so desperate to use wallpaper in some way, that I’d wallpapered my caravan!
