The autumn is traditionally the busiest time for decorating, particularly when it comes to wallpaper! After the summer months with the kids back to school, thoughts go to nesting for the winter, getting everywhere looking good for Christmas when our homes are most likely to be on show. We have some great ideas for guest rooms and features on some of our favourite new wallpapers.
The spring brought us romance and colour with the Royal Wedding and extended holidays, and our thoughts were firmly on patriotic red, white and blue! Now as winter approaches, rich colour palettes bring warmth and life to our homes. We have some fabulous trends coming through for the season and lots of insight into how celebrity designers create collections and use them in their own homes.
We had great feedback from our readers on the “How to” section in the last issue so we have more hints and tips on getting a professional job when decorating, giving advice on the correct paste to use.

It has been an exciting few months as our parent company Brewers has been awarded the Royal Warrant, and I had the pleasure of meeting Prince Charles when he visited our stand at the Ideal Home Show which was a great honour. He was very interested in the eco credentials of wallpaper and we showed him some fun designs including London Flock complete with union jacks and a crown! – and Marimekko’s fun cow wallpaper, definitely a wallpaper to make you smile!
