on October 22 at 9 a.m., in accordance with VFW National Home Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws, Bylaw Article 1, Section 5. One Trustee from National Home District 9 (Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota) and one from District 12 (California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon and Washington) will be installed. There is only one nominee from District 9, therefore, in accordance with Bylaw Article II, Section 4, a mail or electronic transmission ballot is not required and notice of the nomination will be posted on the official website of the corporation at least sixty (60) days but no more than (70) days (August 13 - 23, 2011) prior to the Annual Meeting. The Secretary of the Corporation shall cast one (1) ballot in writing for such nominee no later than the thirty-first (31st) day prior to the Annual Meeting (September 21, 2011). Mailed ballots for the District 12 election must be received at the VFW National Home for Children by 10:00 a.m. September 21, 2011 per Article II, Section 4. Only National Home life members whose VFW or Ladies Auxiliary affiliation is in the National Home’s 12th District will receive a ballot.
