istrict 37's Desert Daisies hosted round two of the AMA Southern California Championship Motocross Series presented by Thumper 4 Stroke Performance. The first two rounds of the series were held on back-to-back Sundays on the Comp Edge surface, with special attention to the racing conditions by track manager Joe Oehlhof and crew. This round had just about two-hundred entrants with their game faces on, with the 250 C and its bevy of twenty-three competitors being the largest class. For the last three rounds of coverage we will try to cover as many classes as possible, for now let's race.

Lunsford pours it on as the checkers near in the seven lap moto, passes Forsyth on lap six and takes it home for the win, Forsyth second, Rice, Bigbee, and Gamboa with another fifth. The top five overall are Lunsford (4-1), Forsyth (3-2), Bigbee (2-4) third, Rice (6- 3) fourth, and Rohan (1-8) fifth despite placing eighth in moto two. Lunsford also won the Open C.
