Glee set for business in 2011 and beyond!

The last 12 months has seen more than ever before consumers investing in their gardens. The garden has become more than just an outdoor space, it is now where we grow our food, work, entertain and relax – the garden is an extension of our traditional living space. This year at Glee (September 19-21, NEC Birmingham), landscapers and retailers can expect to find everything they need to take advantage of these market trends, including the latest product innovations and exclusive show offers from some of the biggest names in the domestic and contract landscaping industries. In the Hard Landscaping section, visitors to Glee will be able to speak to manufacturers of specialist paving and aggregates and see decorative paving ranges from big-name companies.

Whether for practical storage solutions or as a quiet retreat in the garden, garden buildings have grown in popularity in recent years. Now incorporating extensive ranges to meet all budgets, garden sizes and needs, the choice available to the market is vast. Exhibitors will be bringing their latest garden buildings and complementary timber ranges to the show. Glee show director Nick Davison comments: “Glee is the annual hub of the UK garden industry and this year it will once again supply the products, trends and business advice that will allow landscapers, retailers and suppliers alike to make the most of opportunities that exist in the market. “The show is set to be a real showcase for some of the biggest brands and niche suppliers from across the industry. Sales of exhibition floorspace have been hugely successful, with key sectors for landscapers and retailers such as Glee Landscaping & Garden Design and Glee Garden Care witnessing a phenomenal response.”

It’s Time To Strip Off!

Cemstrip is the latest innovative product to be launched by Everbuild Building Products. This environmentally friendly, bio- degradable cement remover is based on a citric acid based formula which could spell the beginning of the end for dangerous and hazardous hydrochloric acid based cement removers.

Cemstrip can be used to remove wet and cured cement

and concrete as well as mortar stains on a variety of surfaces including walls, tools, cement mixers, paths, patios, equipment etc. Importantly, as Cemstrip does not contain hydrochloric acid, it can be used on most metal surfaces; so cleaning tools, cement mixers and other equipment safely is now possible. The highly concentrated formula can be diluted by up to 10 times with water to suit the relevant application.

There is an increasing demand for more environmentally friendly products and Cemstrip certainly fits the criteria. Due to its non-hazardous nature it makes it easier to store and transport as well as use, pleasing both Everbuild customers as well as end users of the product.

The product, which was previewed at the NMBS Exhibition in Telford in May, received an enormous amount of interest on the day, giving the early signs that Everbuild has yet another hit product on its hands.
