Fast Track To Greater Sales In line with its commitment to offering stockists the best products backed by the highest levels of sales support, ForgeFix has extended its range of point of sale materials. The leading British based distributor of fixings, fastenings and associated product has recently launched a brand new, all-in-one POS concept known as the FixStation.
Supported by its own eye-catching branding, the FixStation is designed to provide a one stop solution for any fixing or fastening need. Each unit can accommodate numerous items from ForgeFix’s range of over 3000 different products and in various pack formats including blister packs, pre-packed bags or in bulk formats like tubs and boxes.
ForgeFix believes the new FixStations will prove invaluable in helping stockists to drive sales by maximising opportunities to cross and up sell. It also believes they will encourage impulse buying and will help remind tradesmen to buy the products they need for future fixing projects, whilst simplifying the overall product selection and buying process. In addition and to help promote the many benefits of the FixStation, ForgeFix will be supporting their launch with a wide range of marketing activity. This will include an advertising campaign covering both the stockist and end-user press. Commenting on the launch of the FixStation, Mike Smith, Sales and Marketing Director at ForgeFix, said: “At ForgeFix we aim to stand apart from every other fixing and fastening
distributor on the market not only by offering better products at better prices, but also by providing better standards of service and support. Introducing the FixStation is just the latest evidence of that
commitment to providing the complete package.”

at its Best Avdel has introduced a new fastener generation that takes the Speed Fastening® technology to
the next level. NeoSpeed™ - developed and optimised using the latest Finite Element methods - delivers a manufacturing throughput up to four times greater than traditional threaded or breakstem fasteners.
The NeoSpeed™ blind riveting system uses pull-through technology with reusable mandrels for installation. Installed NeoSpeed™ fasteners save about 50% weight versus an equivalent breakstem rivet and completely eliminate the waste portion of the stem. Elimination of rivet stems lowers the material and processing costs, reduces the weight of goods for transportation purposes and increases the number of pieces per carton. All significant environmental benefits over traditional breakstem rivets by reducing carbon emissions to produce parts and transport them to assembly lines, minimizing the amount of packaging and diminishing line-side waste to be disposed of by the user. The longest NeoSpeed™ multi-grip rivet in 4.8 mm diameter covers an enormous grip range from 0.6 mm to 9.2 mm and replaces several standard grip fasteners. Due to the wide grip range of the rivets, the new NeoSpeed™ ranges could be reduced to just three rivet lengths per diameter. Since NeoSpeed™ rivets offer a 3 time greater hole size tolerance than standard breakstem rivets, they are far less sensitive to application variations. The unique, patent pending hole-filling external splines fill rear sheet and oversize front sheet holes and accommodate and fill misaligned holes with the result of improved assembly quality. Available in steel and aluminium, the NeoSpeed™ range offers higher tensile strength than other multi-grip breakstem rivets and better than average shear strength which is independent of the grip. Avdel® is one of the leading global product brands from Infastech™. Avdel has been a technology leader for 75 years and our range of blind fasteners and tooling is one of the widest in the market. Infastech offers Avdel products through Sales, Distribution and Manufacturing facilities in over 150 countries serving all market segments with innovative fastening and assembly solutions.
