I spent a most enjoyable day earlier in June at Draper Tools in Chandlers Ford. Draper had invited some students from Totton College to attend an Open Day to meet Joe Osborne, the Draper sponsored driver of the United Autosports Audi R8 LMS sports car. I was lucky enough to be asked to join them. This season Draper is a major sponsor of the United Autosports Audi Racing Team. You can read a full account of our day on pages 14 - 15 in this magazine. The photo below is of me sitting in the Audi – unfortunately there was no opportunity to actually drive the car! Toolbusiness+Hire Magazine is now connected to social networking and more photos of the day can be seen on our Facebook page. Go to
www.toolbusiness.co.uk for links to Facebook, and Twitter. Features this month include Ladders and Towers, Outdoor Power Tools and Grounds care, Hammers and Nailers and Safety and Security. Peter Brett visited Francis Kirk & Son Ltd from Denton in Manchester and has written independent tool reviews on a van lock from Abus, a Compresser/Nailer from Stanley Bostitch, a Painters Mate from Easi-Dec, a Teletower from Zarges and a Twin Blade Saw from Clarke. Lots of interesting reading!
