Eco Lighting in London from Speedy Speedy, the leading UK provider of equipment rental and support services, has supplied a fleet of environmentally beneficial lighting towers to three pre-eminent construction sites in the London area.
The Olympic arena currently has twenty of the latest floodlights on hire from Speedy, together with a Thames Water site in Beckton, East London. In addition, the National Grid has also taken up ten of the same lighting sets to illuminate a 24-hour project. Dan Evans, Speedy’s London area
manager, explained, “All of these clients needed constant, bright lighting to safely floodlight their sites, however, they also needed to guarantee continual operation, therefore, refuelling had to be kept to absolute minimum.”
Speedy chose to supply these clients with the latest TowerLight VB9 lighting set.
The VB9 brings together genuine environment qualities in terms of lower
fuel consumption, reduced transport costs, whilst continuing to maintain safe and proper lighting. A site manager can now rely on only refuelling a VB9 once a month, resulting in fewer operators driving to or around a site on a frequent basis. Andy Connor, Speedy Supply Chain Director added, “Reducing carbon emissions and saving energy costs go hand-in-hand, so products like the VB9 are invaluable tools in our customers' armouries. Speedy's long-term strategy is to continue investing and being first to market with products like these.
