Lighting Reality’s Reality Pro software has added a host of new features all designed to make the programme more powerful, intuitive, user friendly and flexible. Reality Pro is now available to lighting professionals across the world, and the new
features support this global presence, providing added functionality to the design software’s Roadway and Outdoor modules. Principal among the many new features in the ‘Roadway’ module are absolute photometry handling, optimisation routine extension, user defined quality figures, and the ability to export Reality’s luminaire comparison table (CMP) as a CSV file. Design work has been carried out on the way Lighting Reality reads photometric files to allow better handling of ‘absolute’ photometry files. Now, where absolute files are provided by the manufacturer, ‘-1’ is now inserted into the flux part of the file to indicate that the file is based upon absolute photometry. On identifying this, Lighting Reality determines the lumen output of the file and displays the value in the normal way.
A new option has also been added to Reality’s class dropdown menu, allowing the user to define their own quality criteria for calculation. For further information visit:
