Do you think green? Do you build sustainably? Do you incorporate the natural environment when planning your design? Green Builder magazine is looking for the best green homes that include sustainable features, innovative design, whole home performance, and integration with the natural environment. NEW THIS YEAR: Represent your state and enter our Mainstream Green category, which celebrates houses that offer typical American buyers better energy efficiency than those built to code. If you built a house with a HERS rating of 50 or better, and it’s less than 3,500 square feet (or 800 square feet per occupant), you are eligible. We are looking for a winner in every state of the Union!
ELIGIBILITY: All residential green designed and high-performance housing and communities with grand opening or first occupancy between January 2010 and July 2011 are eligible including: custom, production, remodeling/restoration, community, and multifamily. Third party certification (e.g., LEED, Energy Star, Environments for Living, etc.) is NOT an entry requirement.
ENTRY FEES:
Regular entry fee: $99 each
Additional entries: $79 each
Mainstream Green fee: $69 each
