2011 Atlantic Canada Piobaireachd


ScottWilliams writes:The 2011 Piobaireachd Challenge was held in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, on Friday evening, June 3rd. The event has been held annually since 1990 and I am proud to say that I have been its convenor for 21 of the past 22 years.The year I missed was the year I spent as an exchange teacher at Tomnacross Primary School, in Kiltarlity, Inverness-shire. The judges this year were Reay MacKay, of Orillia, Ontario and Andy Rogers, of Fredericton, New Brunswick. This year’s event attracted 23 competitors from across the Maritime Provinces of Canada. Con Houlihan reports: Here are the results from the annual Cullen Feis solo piping competition run in association with the Irish Piobaireachd Society.
