8 Analysis First Words
It was so nice to have a few weeks off to recharge the batteries and enjoy the first days of married life.
The running joke in our house though is that not much has changed and that we’re now just two weeks behind on bills. To some extent that’s true and I’m enjoying being back at the helm of SGB Sports. It’s these opportunities to have a break that help you realise how much you enjoy what you do, and I truly enjoy working with the whole sports trade, right from the multinational suppliers that are covered in the product showcases to the independent retailers I talk to for Trading Intelligence. I must apologise though to all of you that were unable to access the SGB Sports website a few weeks back. The site was offline for some essential maintenance and, although it wasn’t being updated as regularly as normal, it was unplanned maintenance and something we were unable to give you prior warning to. It also limited access to the digital version of SGB Sports May. The site is now fully restored and being (slowly) brought back up-to-date as I get back into the swing of working life.
Make sure you keep checking it regularly as we are constantly evolving and refining it to give you a sleeker, more efficient online portal to the world of sporting goods business. Recruitment is the latest string we’ve added our bow as we look to help you maximise your opportunities in the trade.
A quick congratulations must also go out to my sister for completing a 40km charity walk at the start of May. It may have taken a good 14 hours, but she raised some much needed funds for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
