Standards expected of our employees

We expect our employees to accept personal responsibility for working to the principles of this Charter, both in the workplace and the wider community. Every employee has a responsibility to behave in a way that is not offensive to others and to encourage their colleagues to do the same.

In theworkplace

All employees are expected to treat others with dignity and respect. Should an employee believe they are a victim of discrimination, harassment or unfair treatment they should, in the first instance, notify their line manager, or a more senior manager, if appropriate. Should an employee be witness to unfair or discriminatory treatment of a colleague or a third party, it is essential that they inform their own line manager, or a Human Resources representative.

Contraventions of our Dignity atWork policy and this Charter will be taken seriously and any employee who fails to adhere to our commitments may be subject to disciplinary action.

In the community

We expect all our employees to consider the best interests of the local communities in which they work, and to interact with residents and end-users of our buildings in a sensitive and effective manner.
