PRODUCT NEWS Solar water heating system The Cirrex® solar thermal water heating Design software
LoopCAD® CAD®
PRO 2011 and Loop- 2011 design software was en-
gineered in partnership with Avenir Software Inc. for designing REHAU radiant heating and snow and ice melting systems. Automatically gen- erates circuit layouts and room-by- room heat loss calculations; a detailed material list and project quo- tation, including all products required for each individual design. A non- graphical version offers quick room- by-room data entry to calculate building heat loss, radiant panel out- puts and a materials list. REHAU.

Gate, globe and check valves
The first new line of American made, multi-turn, cast bronze gate, globe and check valves is suitable for a wide range of applications, including
product line is available in 16 package sys- tems to meet a wide variety of consumer applications. With this system, up to 70% of the energy needed for a home’s water heating can be captured from the sun, which significantly reduces operating costs. The all-in-one Cirrex system is rated OG-300 by the SRCC and is eligible for a federal tax credit of 30% of the total in- stalled cost, with no maximum. Addi- tional state and local incentives may also be available. A.O. Smith.

Submersible wastewater pumps
Featuring unique, self-cleaning impellers and casing, the Impact™ series of high-efficiency submersible wastewater pumps are specifically configured to process solids more easily and reduce clogging, while improving hydraulic ef- ficiency. The pumps operate at efficiencies exceeding mar- ket standards by 10% to 15%, consume less energy and last longer, even in high demand conditions. Impact MK model pumps have an air-filled motor, dual mechanical seal, and a specially designed seal chamber that im- proves overall pump efficiency and durabil- ity. For low volume wastewater applications, the Impact MV model features a vortex im- peller that is also self-cleaning and more suitable for handling media that contain sand and other abrasive solids. Prevent basement flooding
Available for 2", 3" and 4" floor drains, Flood-Guard®
operates like a
check valve; water flows normally through the drain until the sewer be- gins to back up; a float then rises to
After completion of the required testing and verifi- cation, the NSF provided certification of the GA In- dustries Series 800 3" to 72" flanged, 3" to 48" mechanical joint end and 3" to 20" wafer butterfly valves. The Series 800 AWWA Butterfly Valve product line is cer- tified to the NSF/ANSI Standard 61 for Drinking Water System Components. GA Industries.

Suction pumps
CR(N)-H and CR(N)E-H stainless steel horizontal end suction pumps are for a variety of applications, including washing and cleaning, water treatment, chemical, pulp and paper industries and more. The CR(N)-H can bolt directly into the piping and pump case footprint of a traditional ANSI pump. Pres- sure range can be expanded by adding addi-
tional stages and by up-sizing the motor, without piping or foundation changes. The cartridge seal can be replaced on the
spot without disassembly. The CR(N)-H is available in variable speed for total control and flexibility; up to 80% reduction in energy costs. Grundfos Pumps.
