New software aids learning and revision
A
ctiVise is a learning and revision software resource for pupils/students of any age and ability studying any subject. It consists of a framework of 21 interactive games which can be populated with personalised content entered by the pupil/student, parent or teacher. Information can be entered as words or pictures and is selected to appear in a variety of games suitable for different learning preferences and teaching styles. The software is ideal for whole class teaching, 1:1 SEN / G&T tuition or home based independent study or revision. ActiVise’s Cashback Promotion The school/college will receive £5 for every £24 licence purchased via download by their pupils/students during the summer term. The promotion ensures exam revision is affordable for pupils/students and financially beneficial to the school/college. ActiVise software can be purchased as a single user, multiple or network licence and is sold via one off payments incurring no VAT or annual fees.

CMS Acoustics takes action against classroom noise

s nuisance noise making lessons unintelligible in your classroom? As part of Noise Action Week from 23rd until 27th May, CMS Acoustics, a leading provider of acoustic solutions for the education sector, is launching a free technical support service to help schools cost effectively tackle noise problems. In support of the annual noise initiative, which this year is focused on providing a healthy noise environment for pupils and teachers, CMS Acoustics is offering free support to schools where reverberation and echo are a real issue. To benefit from the full technical support service, simply submit basic room details including length, width, height; a summary of surface treatments in the existing plan; and information on the room application. CMS Acoustics can then calculate the level of coverage necessary to effectively minimise noise disruption, using either CMS SuperPhon panels or Vertiface Composition acoustic wall coverings.
In addition to recommending a suitable acoustic solution, CMS Acoustics can also offer a free advisory service on the placement of panels and bespoke system design to help support inspiring learning environments in keeping with a school’s architectural ideals. u01925 577711
