GMCR APPOINTS LINDA KAZANOVA AS HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER


Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (GMCR) has announced the appointment of Linda Kazanova as Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. Ms Kazanova brings 15 years of experi-


ence in the consumer packaged goods industry and 10 years of experience lead- ing human resources in publicly traded companies. Most recently she was the Vice


President of Human Resources and Medical for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation. Her previous experience includes leading human resources for Bell & Howell Company, and positions of pro- gressive responsibility with Kraft Foods and Information Resources Inc. Ms Kazanova holds a PhD in


Psychology from Northwestern and both Bachelors and Masters degrees from the University of Delaware


NUGENT NAMED CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER OF COFFEE RESERVE BRANDS


Coffee Reserve Brands in the US has announced that John Nugent has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Mr Nugent brings more than 20 years of experience in the consumer goods industry to Coffee Reserve Brands. Mr Nugent received a degree in Accounting from Marquette University and


is a former Vice President and General Manager with Anheuser-Busch Inc, where he led a multi-location, US$100 million beverage distribution organisa- tion. He brings extensive experience in sales, strategic marketing, brand build- ing, new product and packaging development, and other areas of marketing and distribution. Coffee Reserve President and CEO, Rick Grayson, said: "We are delighted


to have John join the Coffee Reserve Brands Team. We feel that John’s formal education in finance and proven abilities in sales and marketing bring the per- fect combination of skills to Coffee Reserve Brands. We are confident that John’s extensive background in the upscale beverage market will provide the springboard to take Coffee Reserve Brands to the next level." Mr Nugent’s responsibilities at Coffee Reserve will include leading the com-


pany in developing and refining their sales, marketing, and production initia- tives. Mr Grayson revealed that his primary role is to execute Coffee Reserve Brands’ three year strategic plan, which calls for doubling the size of the busi- ness. "John is results-oriented and leads with integrity," said Mr Grayson. "We feel


strongly that he will be an extremely effective member of our strategic team, and move forward in sync with our corporate values." Coffee Reserve Brands has been roasting coffee in Phoenix since 1997 and


is committed to procuring sustainable coffees such as Rain Forest Alliance certified and Fair Trade coffee from around the world. The company also oper- ates a custom packaging division which handles co-packing, toll roasting, in- room hotel packets and private label coffees.
