Frankfurt laser company will introduce its new FBLD-9XX- 50.00-2Pin, a fibre-coupled laser diode designed for pumping ytterbium (Yb) fibre amplifiers and ytterbium fibre lasers. The diode outputs 50W of power into a 105µm diameter fibre, with numerical aperture of 0.15 or 0.22. Near-IR wavelengths at 915, 940 and 976nm are available. This diode provides high efficiency, brightness, stability and excellent beam quality, and is designed for use in harsh environments, such as those found in defence, industrial and telecommunication applications. The company provides full serial number traceability and provides a testing certificate with each unit.

sensitivity of 0.4A/W at 850nm and 0.6A/W at 1,060nm respectively. The S11498 is twice the sensitivity and the S11499 three times the sensitivity of a typical silicon photodiode, making them ideal for a wide range of applications. The laser systems on display emit up to 64 laser beams from a compact module. The modules are fed with data via a fast serial bus and have internal voltage stabilisation. They can be integrated easily into a diverse range of applications thanks to the defined mechanical interface and straightforward cooling. An evaluation kit is also available – in this instance, an independently functioning test version complete with software interface for integration into third-party applications. The modules are ideal for all industrial applications requiring an individually controllable, scalable laser system – for example, for applying lettering to surfaces or for multi-channel data storage.
