Yak Pak attack Brand Agility, the UK and Ireland
distributor for Caribee backpacks, is introducing the Yak Pak range of products to these shores. Brand Agility says the Yak Pak range is already popular in its home nation, the US, and hopes to replicate that success in the UK and Ireland. Yak Pak’s range runs the gambit from backpacks and shoulder bags to diaper bags, sling bags and laptop sleeves. Brand Agility says Yak Pak bags are ‘affordably priced for the budget conscious’,
retailing from £19.99, yet offer fashionable and funky designs. Yak Pak describes itself as a company that 'started out of a college dorm room with the vision that there was an opportunity to bring fashion and innovation to the backpack category'. "A bag isn’t just something you carry, it’s something you wear," the Yak Pak website states. Jacquie Sandison, Brand Agility sales director, said: “We’re excited to bring Yak Pak to the UK market. We felt the brand resonated with retailers and customers alike and launch sales have exceeded our expectations.”

Alt-Berg makes leather lightweight
UK bootmaker Alt-Berg has unveiled a new ladies leather boot, which it says contradicts the notion that fabric boots are lighter than their leather counterparts. The Lady Tethera is a classic lightweight three to four season leather boot which still uses 2.8mm Anfibio leather, and which does not lose anything in terms of support and durability, Alt- Berg says.
However, it weighs only 637g per boot for a size 6. The boot is available in
five width fittings from extra narrow to extra wide and is available in sizes 3-8 including half sizes, with a RRP of £169.99. It features a shock absorbent sole, with a micro layer above the sole reducing impact on feet, heels and knees. A Tri-flex midsole gives maximum support on rough, uneven terrain, whilst allowing enough flex and spring for comfortable walking in a wider range of conditions. And the one-piece Anfibio leather upper design gives maximum water- proofing and durability because there are no seams or stitching around the area of the boot which flexes when walking.

Brooks offers limited run of T7 triathlon shoe Running specialist Brooks is offering a limited edition version of its
T7 triathlon shoe to the market. The T7 has asymmetric lacing that follows the foot form, allowing the foot to nestle better in the shoe. The Hyper Pod sole design ensures the best possible and maximum flexibility for the athlete. The limited edition version of the shoe has a union jack styling, loop and other features, which Brooks says makes it ‘super cool’. It was originally made especially for British triathlete Chrissie Wellington, but is available to the market from June.
