San Diego sunshine greeted the attendees of the National Mid-Year Conference, February 20-23 in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter downtown.


Those Department Presidents who achieved 90% membership by December 31, 2010, were treated to one of San Diego’s most famous destinations. At the San Diego Zoo, Presidents were given an exclusive twilight tour of the zoo on reserved buses. They then were taken to an on-site restaurant for dinner, where a surprise awaited them. Two handlers were present to show some very special animals up close and personal, including an owl, an anteater, and a tropical bird.


Back at the hotel, Presidents joined all members for a special dessert reception, where they were presented with their medallions by National President Cortina Barnes.
