They pieced together hundreds from truckloads of donated, mismatched scraps of fabric and distributed them from downtown St. Louis to Missouri’s southeast bootheel. “It just grew and grew,” said Kathy Berkbigler, Auxiliary 3838, Cape Girardeau. “I’m just amazed at how willing people are to help with this project. I never dreamed it would take off like it has.”
