President who presided at the Department Convention and by members of the Bylaws committee. (Sec. 605) The 2010-2011 Secretary shall mail Bylaws to the National President for her approval.


7. Resolutions approved by the Department Convention and requiring the action of the National Convention must be forwarded to National Headquarters within five (5) days following the Department Convention. Attach a cover letter, signed by the Department President who presided at the Department Convention, stating when the resolution(s) were approved. (Section 606A) This is the responsibility of the 2010-2011 Department Secretary.


8. The Installing Officer shall


forward the Department Installation Report to the National Secretary within three (3) days following the close of the Department Convention. (Section 806D)


9. Presidents on all levels shall, within 30 days after assuming the duties of her office, submit to the Commander of the corresponding unit of the VFW an itemized report of the financial and membership status of her unit. (Sec. 810) The financial report can be a copy of your last audit on the Auxiliary level.


10. We must call your attention to the National Bylaws, Article VIII, Section 814A - Trustees, Duties of (Auxiliary). It shall be the duty of the Trustees, no later than the end of the month following the expiration of each quarterly period, to properly audit the books and records of the Auxiliary Treasurer and Secretary, and to submit and read the written report during an Auxiliary meeting. A motion to accept the audit is required. A copy of the accepted audit shall be included in the minutes record book. Any negligence on the part of the Trustees in carrying out the mandates of this section shall make them individually and collectively responsible, with any others, for any discrepancy. All Auxiliaries must submit the quarterly audit reports to the Department Treasurer. The Senior Trustee is responsible for sending the audit reports.
