BIKE SHIPPING WITH HIGH COUNTRY SHIPPING
• High Country Shipping (HCS) and USA Triathlon have teamed up to coordinate bike shipping for athletes competing in all USA Triathlon events.
• As an authorized Fed-Ex shipper, High Country Shipping provides competitive rates and unsurpassed customer service.
• HCS sends shipping labels in advance coordinates bike assembly (when desired) and guarantees on-time delivery. The process is simple and time efficient.

The following services are available if your bike is shipped to VeloCity Pro Cycle:
• Bike Services: $150 (plus return shipping fees, if applicable): includes assembly, safety check, break down and repackaging
• Bikes must be packed with name, hotel information and Tuscaloosa contact phone number (cell phone preferred).
• Bikes must be marked with handle bar position on stem, aerobars and seat post height.
• Any obvious problems (bad cables, bent derailleur, flats, etc.) will be addressed during the assessment and corrected at an additional rate.
• Only building or only packing the bike will be $80.
• If you are going to build and pack your bike yourself but would like to ship your bike to or from VeloCity Pro Cycle, the fee will be $15.
• VeloCity Pro Cycle will not box athletes’ bikes on Saturday, April 9
BIKE SUPPORT HOURS
• Monday through Thursday, April 4-7 at VeloCity Pro Cycle from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Friday, April 8 from 9 a.m.-7 p.m.
• Friday, April 8 at Packet Pick-up/Expo from Noon-3 p.m.
• Saturday, April 9 at triathlon transition area from 5:30-8 a.m., then on course until the final rider is finished.
Support provided at transition will be limited to basic bike needs such as airing tires and helping to change flats. Any other bike issues will be handled at VeloCity Pro Cycle.
• Saturday’s competitors MUST have their bikes checked back in for shipment home by 6 p.m. on race day. If this deadline is not met, the next time to check in bikes will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 11.
• Bikes will be packed for shipment home in the order that they are received back into the store.
• If you did not use High Country Shipping or include your shipping tag with your bike, you will be required to pay return shipping charges upon picking up your bike. VeloCity Pro Cycle will be shipping via UPS Ground.
Note: Bikes must be shipped in a protective case.
SWIM SAFETY
If the water temperature is 55 degrees Fahrenheit or below on race morning, all athletes will be required to wear wetsuits. This also includes any training you will do in the river the day before the race.
• Water temperature is expected to be in the mid 60s in April. The exact temperature will be posted closer to race date.
• USA Triathlon anticipates a wetsuit-legal swim, meaning wetsuits are permitted if the water temperature is up to and including 78 degrees Farenheit.
