EVENT INFORMATION
WRISTBANDS
At packet pick-up, athletes will be given a wristband that must be worn during the race. The wristband will give athletes access to the athlete village on Saturday, April 9. This wristband also will allow athletes into transition at bike check-in Saturday morning. For the safety of the athletes and their gear, no one will be allowed into transition without a wristband.
PRE-RACE CAPTAINS’ MEETING
The team captain must be present at the pre-race briefing at the amphitheater on Friday, April 8 at 3 p.m. for the Collegiate National Championship and Collegiate Sprint Triathlon.
RACE SITE AND TRANSITION AREA
The race site and transition are located at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheatre. The Tuscaloosa Amphitheatre is located on the river on Jack Warner Parkway and 28th Avenue.
PARKING INFORMATION
Parking will be available at the CityFest Parking Lot (at the corner of Greensboro and University) and the Intermodel Facility (parking deck, at the corner of 23rd Avenue and 7th Street). You MUST park at one of these two locations. NO parking is allowed at the Amphitheatre or along Jack Warner Parkway.
ROAD CLOSURES
Road closures will start at 7 a.m. Roads will re-open as the final athletes finish. All roads will be open by approximately 2:45 p.m.
BIKE CHECK-IN
Bike check-in for the Collegiate National Championship and the Collegiate Sprint Triathlon will be from 5:30-7:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 9. Transition will close at 7:30 a.m. for all athletes. Collegiate Sprint Triathlon athletes may go back into transition to set up their area at approximately 11 a.m. Collegiate Sprint Triathlon and Collegiate National Championship athletes can check out their bikes at approximately 1:30 p.m. Note: No bags will be allowed in transition. The security of bags and personal items is the responsibility of the athletes, not USA Triathlon. There will be no bag check so please leave non-race essentials and valuables in your team tent, car or hotel.
BODY MARKING
There will be no body marking. Tri Tats temporary tattoo numbers will be issued at packet pick-up. There will be markers as a back up, if necessary.
