1. David Cartwright BSc MCOptom MBA David is a Past President of the College. He qualified in 1980 and has wide experience in optometry. David is the Professional Services Director for Boots Opticians Ltd, a member of the General Optical Council Standards Committee and a College Examiner.
2. Geraint Griffiths MSc MCOptom Geraint is the Managing Director of Sport Vision Ltd and proprietor of an independent practice in Leicester. He is Founder and CEO of the Association of Sport Vision Practitioners (Sportvision UK). Geraint is a College Assessor.
3. Jane Macnaughton BSc MCOptom Jane initially worked within the Hospital Eye Service. After several years at Moorfields Eye Hospital, she joined City University.
Jane is currently a specialist
optometrist at the Leicester Royal Infirmary and proprietor of an independent low vision practice in Leicestershire. Jane runs her own training company and is a College Examiner, an external Assessor for the Welsh Eyecare Initiative and an external Examiner for the University of Central England DipHE Visual Impairment Rehabilitation course.

4. Daniel Hardiman-McCartney BSc MCOptom Daniel is currently Managing Director of an independent optometrists in Cambridge and also works for the Hospital Eye Service. He has worked as a visiting clinician at Anglia Ruskin University. Daniel is an active member of the local optical committee, is involved in a shared care diabetic retinopathy screening service, direct cataract referral service and glaucoma triage.
5. Dr Peter Allen BSc PhD MCOptom Since graduating from City University in 1990, Peter went on to do a PhD and Post Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education, both from Anglia Ruskin University, where he now works as the Director of Clinics and Principal Lecturer. His current research interests include refractive error development, vision and reading and visual function in specialist populations. Peter is a College Assessor and Examiner.
