Climate/Best time to go Mauritius has a tropical climate with coastal temperatures ranging from around 23°C to 30°C while inland temperatures, at 1,969 feet (600 metres) above sea level are three to fi ve degrees cooler. The western and northern regions are warmer and relatively drier and less humid than the east and south.
