Beautiful Bel Ombre The MTPA launched Domaine de Bel Ombre, in the less developed south
of the island as a tourism destination in 2010. Its 18-hole championship golf course Golf du Château won the ‘Best Golf Resort’ in Mauritius at the 2010 World Travel Awards and its 3,500-acres Frederica Nature Reserve, offering soft adventure at the foot of the mountainous Black River Gorges National Park, was the latest nature park to open. Main player Veranda Hotels and Resorts launched Villas Valriche Experience, three/four- bedroom luxury serviced villas, with uninterrupted views of the Indian Ocean, and re-launched its Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort. It has also brought ‘C Club’ to Bel Ombre.
