to our readers S

ince opening our gallery doors in 1995 here in San Diego, we have sought to

inspire and educate our valued collectors within the wonderful realm of fine art. Originally intended to act as a resource and guide for locals in San Diego County, Off the Easel has continued to grow beyond San Diego’s borders and is now enjoyed by thousands of readers nationally and internationally. Because of the exciting response to our magazine and its content, we are now in the planning mode of creating an even stronger national presence for this fine art inspired publication. To celebrate Off the Easel’s first-year

anniversary, we bring you a behind-the- scenes look at the creative genius of some of our greatest living masters today. Travel with Steve Barton to exotic islands and relax... bask in the light of Spanish master Royo’s idyllic Mediterranean settings... be transported to a bygone era of “The Golden Age” as Michael Flohr unveils a nostalgic series of paintings inspired by the opulent time period of the 1920s–30s. There is no question that fine art has the remarkable power to transport us to places that only exist in the artists’ minds... and we invite you to travel there with us.

Blessings,
