INDUSTRY NEWS Yes! Air Conditioning and Plumbing gives back
LAS VEGAS— Yes! Air Conditioning and Plumbing is kicking off the holiday season with a special donation to one of the valley’s most cherished community projects, Habitat for Humanity. On December 14, the company’s
iconic “Yes! Man” will donate nine water heaters to the Habitat build site in the Vegas Heights neighborhood. Yes! will provide an energy efficient water heater to each of the nine new homes in the Habitat for Humanity build project. The donation is part of the “Yes!
Man Cares” program, which supports local charities and nonprofit organizations. The purpose of the donation is to make a positive impact on the southern Nevada community

and to remind everyone of the necessity of quality, energy- efficient housing. Kenneth D. Goodrich,
president of American Residential Services (ARS), western zone and founder of Yes! Air Conditioning & Plumbing, says the donation is as much about building an energy efficient future as it is about building a community. “Giving back to the
community we serve is a cornerstone of our organization and Habitat for Humanity is an ideal partner because we share the same vision for an energy efficient future,” said Goodrich. “We are pleased to partner
with Habitat for Humanity this holiday season and provide support to the hardworking homeowners in this development.”
NAOHSM announces new scholarship program
THE OIL HEATING INDUSTRY is looking for qualified heating technicians to work in the industry. NAOHSM (National Association of Oilheating Service Managers) — the mission is education — takes the lead with this effort by annually offering scholarships to those students interested in furthering their education in the HVAC field. This is the 12th year of awarding
the Dave Nelsen Scholarship awards. To date, NAOHSM has awarded more than $161,000 in scholarships. In 2010, NAOHSM awarded 12 $2,000 awards. For 2011, NAOHSM is modifying the criteria for the review process and limiting the number of awards. There will be a minimum of four awards — each $5,000. For more information,
