PHOTOJOURNALISTS LAUNCH NEW TRAINING BUSINESS
Two top UK photographers have joined forces for a new business venture passing on their expertise to photographic novices and pros alike on a range of focused training courses which could be ideal for those looking at event photography. David Burges and James Fraser have combined their talents to launch Blink Photography Courses, aimed at sharing the secrets of their business with everyone from total novices to those who make their living with a camera and want to expand their knowledge, including digitial enhancement techniques.
Blink Photography Courses will welcome its first guests at the beginning of March 2011, offering a selection of courses, from classroom- based beginners sessions for compact-wielding novices, to multi- day courses focusing on picturesque parts of the UK and Europe. The courses will be based in the Leamington Spa area. David explained: “Everyone has a camera of some kind now and we've come to realise that many people would love to be able to use it better than they can, be it for capturing family moments to

James and I have carefully crafted a selection of courses so that we can offer something to everyone, from total newcomers to keen amateurs and even professionals looking for an insight into what we do, how we do it and the ways those skills can improve their business.” James added: “We're particularly keen that no-one should be put off by thinking that it will all be technical and over their heads, especially the beginners. We want them to leave us with the confidence that their photographs will be much improved because of the practical experience we'll give them. For the semi-pro's and pros we will be passing on the perspective and tricks of the trade that will take their work to the next level.”
In recent years David has earned a reputation as one of the country's most sought after wedding photographers, bringing his candid, journalistic style to the genre with stunning results – and national awards. This knowledge will also be on offer as part of a wedding photography-focused course. James has most recently specialised in studio-based portrait photography and feature work, developing a successful business. This portrait expertise will also form one of Blink Photography Courses' workshops.
