The Minilab solution is capable of producing outstanding quality traditional simplex prints as well as duplex photo book pages and calendars in one hour. With the flexibility to serve as a standalone unit or part of the award-‐ winning HP Photo Center, the HP Photo-‐ smart ML2000D Minilab printer delivers lab quality photos as fast as 1,500 prints per hour. Additionally, the printer produces up to 20 different simplex print sizes and duplex output in two different sizes in a combination of gloss and matt finishes. The system uses specially designed inks and papers to create smudge, water and fade-resistant simplex prints that retain vivid, accurate colours for generations. For the retailer, the HP Photosmart-‐ ML2000D offers the opportunity to benefit from reduced labour and maintenance costs, an improved ROI, and new, higher-margin revenue streams. Best workflow capabilities free up labour so store associates can focus on sales and customer service. Duplex pages, for instance, are printed automatically – without the need to manually flip over pages.
The consumer experience has radically changed, with demands and expectations changing also – now HP is allowing you, the retailers, to fulfil these expectations and ensure the excitement remains, and is shared through innovative, creative print publishing solutions.

The study compared the impact of using HP ML1000D, HP ML2000D and HP Microlab pm2000e printers with the impact of using Fuji Frontier 370 and Noritsu QSS-3502 printers to produce 450,000 4x6-inch photos a year in North America. 6. Total energy in the system, including energy required for the photo labs and energy to produce upstream materials and transport materials. Total energy encompasses fuel energy, including fossil and non-fossil fuels such as nuclear power, hydropower, biomass and embodied energy such as hydrocarbons embodied in plastics. Compared with the Fuji 370 and Noritsu 3502 when printing 450,000 4x6-inch photos a year over a 9-year period of operation. Total energy is calculated in megajoules.
On top of the HP Photosmart ML2000D’s industry-leading technology, this solution is also the environmentally responsible choice, with an up to 33% smaller car-‐ bon footprint and up to 26% less total energy consumed over a typical operating period.
