Marie Della Mattia is President & CEO, NOW Communications Group
newest ad- dition to the Cana-
dian Editorial Advisory Board is Van- couver’s Marie Della Mattia. Marie is President & CEO of NOW
Communications Group, Canada’s lead- ing progressive advertising agency. Ms. Della Mattia has crafted campaigns for provincial and national advocacy orga- nizations, unions and governments. She started her career as a local election organizer and went on to work as an aide to MP Jim Karpoff in 1988. She has served as chief of staff to Canada’s first-ever Minister of Women’s Equality in BC and as director of communica- tions for a government ministry. She worked as a writer in Dubai and con- sulted with women political leaders and political parties in the Asia-Pacific. Ms. Della Mattia is a sought-after speaker and trainer, specializing in working with leaders to get their organization’s mes- sage out in an increasingly cluttered market.
We asked Marie about her new role
with C&E, and she had this to say. “Campaigns and Elections magazine has been required reading in my busi- ness for many years. I was so delighted to see the new Canadian edition of C&E online I had to write a letter to the edi- tor (something I hadn’t done in over 20 years!). Who knew it would lead to a chat with the editor, a column, and now an invitation to join the editorial board? I am delighted to be able to formally
join the C&E team and I look forward to helping share its teachings, and in- sights, with Canadians from coast to coast to coast.” C&E is honoured to have Marie
join our team and we look forward to her contributions. The article “How Do Women Get in the Room?” is her first as an C&E Editorial Advisory Board member.
